Only a 20 minute boat ride separates the mainland from one of New Zealand's most interesting islands - Mana Island. With its unique and colourful history, and a modern day story of regeneration and diversity of the local ecosystem and its inhabitants, Mana Island is an ideal destination for school groups. families, tramping and walking clubs, or groups of friends or work colleagues.  Instagram heaven at every corner!


Your Mana Island day trip starts with a scenic boat ride to the island followed by a 30 minute presentation at the historic woolshed about the human and natural history. 

Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will show you the tracks and best spots for seeing the island's flora and fauna, plus of course the stunning sea and mainland views. 

Our guides will give you about 30 min over view of the natural and human history, rules of the island and where to walk and what to see.  They you are off into nature!

Click on the link for google maps location for free parking.  Park and then walk south to the end of the Marina to the end wharf where you will see the boat.  Look for the Go Mana flags and signs.

or you can park at the little green olive café where you can get a coffee and use the toilets. , then just walk under the bridge go find us in the marina.
